"We called in to book a trip yesterday at Narre Warren Helloworld, Fountain Gate . There was one employee chatting with a lady at her desk, coffee in hand and ignoring me for 10 minutes. I eventually excused myself and asked when would be convenient to speak with her as she just wouldn’t even make eye contact all this time. “Half an hour” was her reply so we walked out and booked at Flight Centre around the corner. Seriously? You’ve lost the plot Helloworld."
"My partner and I came in for a consultation with Hayley. In my initial email I included our budget and let her know that we had not yet decided on which part of Fiji we wanted to go to. I explained that we wanted to come in to discuss some options of locations we could visit based on our interests. When we arrived for our consultation, she asked if we knew where we wanted to go and we said no. Instead of discussing options, she started pushing us for dates (which we had not decided on) and which hotels we wanted to stay in. We felt completely rushed and like she was trying to get us out quickly. She did not tell us what there was to do in certain areas and just wanted to push us into booking. Hayley also told us that she was struggling to find anything within our budget ($8000-10,000 for 2 weeks), and that it would only be enough for accommodation. We looked online and found the same hotel significantly cheaper. From my understanding, Fiji is an affordable destination as many families travel there. We would definitely NOT recommend this Travel Agency, so please go elsewhere."
"After a year, the service has not improved. In fact, it seems to get worse. Uninterested, unresponsive, no help, and no enthusiasm. No wonder most people use the internet."
"Everything is good with them, It makes it little challenging when the actual itenaries is not received from airline instead you receive the helloworld itenaries."
"Horrible place, zero service and I will be fighting for compensation. I wish I followed my gut feeling and booked my trip on my own. When first meeting Emma I was made to feel like my presence was annoying. She was very short with me and made comments about my clothes I was wearing, likening me to her 3 year old daughter as I like to wear bright colours. When talking about booking my flight I expressed extreme concern about having a 1 hour layover. I was told “San Francisco is a small airport, you’ll be right”. After my concerns were repetitively shut down I felt pressured to accept the booking and naively thought it there were any issues my travel agent would help me- as flight centre always had been a fantastic help with this. I never received a call to pick up my tickets but had to chase them down myself. When picking them up my mother and I specifically asked for a help line number I could call for any issues as I would be in another time zone. As Emma was on the phone a tall woman with short hair told us to our faces “Call the store number, it will redirect you to a 24 hour line”. After inevitably missing my layover flight I found out this was a blatant lie. There is no 24 hour service in existence for hello world. My mother contacted them on my behalf when they opened and Emma lied to her and said “oh we spoke at length about the layover” which was another blatant lie, and I was completely shut down by her for my concerns. As I had no help from her and there was no other flight I could take to get to my destination that day, I ended up (luckily) having a friend who could drive 3 hours to retrieve me. If I were travelling completely alone I don’t know what I would have done. Hello world then became impossible to communicate with and Emma used the “death in the family” excuse when my mother was trying to speak to her and not being called back not only at first when I arrived to my destination, but again when I was having issues coming home. I inquired if I could skip my connecting flight and leave directly from the second leg of my trip to which Emma quoted me $1500 and told me to call United myself and good luck because that’s all she can do. As I was terrified to miss my 1 hour layover AGAIN, I was mortified. I ended up going to the airport directly to speak to someone in person. When looking into my tickets I was told I have no flights. At all. They told me my travel agent had left my tickets open, unconfirmed therefore my seats were cancelled and available for purchase. They told me “the flight back to Melbourne is a full flight and there is only one available seat left and it’s yours”. Had I NOT for some reason felt the need to go into the air port myself and instead gone with the original flights Emma had booked for me- I would have been told I have no way home. Luckily I was able to get my seat back with help from San Francisco United staff. When finally home I emailed Emma asking for head office details and received no response. No check in. Nothing. Radio silence. I have previously booked trips with Flight Centre and their service has always been incredible and friendly. I chose hello world this time as flight centre we’re difficult to make an appointment with at the time. What I have learned is that I can do a better job being my own travel agent and nobody should be wasting their money paying people like this who have zero regard for your safety. Zero care for their clients. I will never be returning to this outlet, but I will be taking higher action and I would recommend hiring my pet dog over these people to book your next holiday, as I believe he would be much more capable."
