About Coral Sea Park
Welcome to Coral Sea Park, a hidden gem nestled in a peaceful residential area just a stone's throw away from the vibrant cafes and stunning beaches of Maroubra. As an establishment, park, point of interest, and tourist attraction, Coral Sea Park offers a plethora of activities and amenities to cater to all ages and interests.
One of the main highlights of Coral Sea Park is its status as a major sporting facility. Boasting numerous rugby and soccer fields, a cricket pitch, and practice nets, this park is a hub for sports enthusiasts and athletes. What sets it apart is the provision of floodlights, allowing for night training sessions and matches. So whether you're a budding athlete or a dedicated supporter, Coral Sea Park provides the perfect backdrop for your sporting endeavors.
For families and children, Coral Sea Park offers a vast and exciting playground. Situated alongside the sporting fields, this playground is a haven for little ones to explore, climb, and play to their heart's content. And while the kids are occupied, parents and spectators can relax and enjoy the pleasant surroundings, thanks to the large established trees that adorn the park's perimeter.
If you're a dog owner, you'll be delighted to know that Coral Sea Park is a designated off-leash dog exercise area. However, please note that unleashed dogs are not allowed on the sports fields during matches or training sessions, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all visitors.
In addition to its sports facilities and playground, Coral Sea Park also offers a full basketball court that is free for the community to use. Whether you're a seasoned player or simply looking for some friendly competition with friends and family, this court provides the perfect space for basketball enthusiasts.
Beyond its recreational offerings, Coral Sea Park holds a significant historical value. It pays homage to the Battle of the Coral Sea, a pivotal turning point in the Pacific campaign during World War II. This joint American-Australian air and sea battle is honored within the park, serving as a reminder of the sacrifices made and the impact it had on the Randwick City community.
We invite you to explore our website and discover more about the rich history of Coral Sea Park, as well as the fascinating stories and events that have shaped its legacy. From sand, snakes, speedway, and ships, to exhibitions and community initiatives, there's always something intriguing happening at Coral Sea Park.
As we embrace the beauty and diversity of Coral Sea Park, we also acknowledge and pay our respects to the Bidjigal and Gadigal Clans, who traditionally occupied this land along the Sydney Coast. Their rich history and cultural heritage are an integral part of the park's identity, and we honor their presence both past and present.
So come and experience the wonders of Coral Sea Park. Whether you're a sports enthusiast, a family seeking adventure, or a history buff, this hidden oasis in Maroubra promises to captivate and inspire you.

Reviews of Coral Sea Park
"itchy grass and difficult to sleep here - too noisy with all the soccer. the council should get involved here"
"Very busy with soccer games and others. Very hard to find parking. Many people around every weekends."
"Park is great. The only bad thing is that toilets were locked in the easter monday."
"The new additions in the playground are amazing! It's also very nice with having a safer option for younger kids. A negative is that when I usually need to go to the restrooms they're closed. This isn't bad for me since I live close but it is an inconvenience for maybe other people. Another negative about this park is that some dog owners don't clean up after their dogs mess. I'm pretty sure there are plastic bags near so please use them!"
"The play ground recently got a much needed face lift. This park would be good for the little ones 1-3 year olds. But 4-7 would probably enjoy it too. There is also a good path for scooting."
