Northmead Early Education Centre

Welcome to Northmead Early Education Centre, a premier establishment and point of interest located at 182 Windsor Road in Winston Hills, Australia. Our centre was officially opened on April 17, 2012, by the Honourable Kate Ellis MP, Minister for Early Childhood. Designed by architects, our purpose-built centre features both a Preschool Centre and an Early Learning Centre, providing a nurturing environment for children of various ages.

Our Preschool Centre is housed in the charming heritage Santa Rosa building, creating a warm and home-like atmosphere for the children. With high educator/child ratios, we offer a preschool program for two learning groups of children aged 3 to 6 years. The children have access to two outdoor garden play areas, allowing them to explore, create, and make meaning of the world around them.

For our younger learners aged between 6 weeks to 3 years, our Early Learning Centre provides three small learning groups with individual care and learning. The facilities are spacious and well-resourced, including a separate garden learning environment designed specifically for our Early Learners. Our in-house cook prepares fresh and healthy meals daily in our kitchen, which are served in our al fresco dining area connecting the Early Learning Centre to the Preschool.

Ensuring the safety and security of our environments is of utmost importance to us. We have strict policies and safety checks in place, including a security access system that permits only authorized individuals to enter. Our environments are regularly cleaned throughout the day by professional cleaners, and all our staff have undergone Working with Children Checks and are trained in child protection, first aid, anaphylaxis, and asthma.

To make life easier for busy families, we provide as much as possible of your child's daily needs, including nappies, meals, sun hats, sunscreen, and bed sheets. Additionally, we offer access to Storypark, a secure online system that helps us record, share, and extend the children's learning.

At Northmead Early Education Centre, we prioritize the health and well-being of all children, educators, and families. Our program includes a Mandarin language program supported by Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA), as well as various educational extra-curricular experiences such as animal and science incursions. We also offer multisport and fitness programs run by specialist companies for a small additional fee.

Our in-house cook prepares nutritious meals using seasonal and fresh ingredients, following the Australian Dietary Guidelines and considering the cultural and health needs of our children.

Conveniently located, our centre is accessible by public transport, with a bus stop right outside on Windsor Road. We also provide ample onsite car parking for the ease of 'drop off' and 'pick up' of children.

Antonela, our qualified early childhood teacher with over 11 years of experience, leads our exceptional team at Northmead Early Education Centre. She is passionate about developing respectful and strong relationships with children and their families. Antonela actively incorporates research-based approaches such as RIE, Pikler, and Circle of Security into our centre's policies and practices. She also has a keen interest in embedding STEM and inquiry-based learning into the curriculum, fostering a lifelong love for learning in each child.
