About Hillcrest Preschool Kindergarten
Welcome to Hillcrest Preschool Kindergarten, a family-owned and operated institution that has been serving our community for over 40 years. Located at 11 Hillcrest Avenue in Winston Hills, Australia, our center is a point of interest and a school that provides a nurturing and homely environment for children to learn, play, experience, and grow.
As parents ourselves, we understand the love and care that we give to our own children. At Hillcrest Preschool Kindergarten, we believe that every child deserves the same attention and care. Our long-serving educators are dedicated to providing a supportive and engaging atmosphere where children can flourish.
We prioritize the interactions and experiences of each child, designing activities that foster their emotional and intellectual growth. Our goal is to prepare them for the transition to school and equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge.
Building a supportive environment is crucial to us. We value the relationships we have with our educators, children, and their families, ensuring that they are long-lasting. By creating a safe and supportive environment, we lay the foundation for our children's cognitive, social, emotional, language, and physical development.
At Hillcrest Preschool Kindergarten, we respect each child as a unique individual with their own beliefs, interests, and ideas. We understand that their early experiences are vital for building a strong foundation for future learning.
Conveniently located opposite Winston Hills Public School, our center is easily accessible. Simply take the footpath on the left, which will lead you directly to our Preschool entrance.
We are open 49 weeks of the year, closing only during the Christmas school holidays and public holidays. Our operating hours are from 7.30am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.
Enrollment is open to children aged 3 to 5 years old. We kindly ask that your child turns 3 years old by the time they commence with us. To ensure the well-being of our children, we request that parents provide one piece of fruit for morning tea, a bottle of water, a fresh and nutritious lunch (no nut products), and a small blanket with a fitted sheet for rest time. All items must be clearly marked with your child's name.
Our fees for 2023 are $96 per day, billed on a 4-weekly basis. Payment can be made via direct debit by the first week of every billing cycle. Eligible families may receive Child Care Subsidy (CCS), which can reduce the daily fees. Additionally, 4 and 5-year-old children may receive up to $2,110 per year ($43.06 per week) in additional fee relief from the NSW government.
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a payment provided by the Australian Government to support families with the cost of quality child care and early education. The subsidy is directly paid to the service, reducing your weekly fees. The amount you receive depends on your individual circumstances. For more information about eligibility and applying for the childcare subsidy, please visit the link provided.
We are also pleased to inform you that the NSW Government has introduced a new preschool fee relief program for families with children aged 4 years old and above. This program allows families to save up to $2,110 for children aged 4 years old on or before July 31, 2023. The fee relief is distributed evenly across the calendar year and reflected as a reduction in your statements. For example, a 4-year-old child attending from January to June 2023 will receive fee relief for the 6-month enrolled period, with a credit of $43.06 per week on their 4-weekly statement.
To ensure a strong sense of community and social development, we recommend a minimum attendance requirement of two days per week. This enables children to build stronger relationships with educators and other children, preparing them for school.
Please note that children must be toilet trained as we do not have nappy-changing facilities. Nappies or pull-ups are not allowed.
We look forward to welcoming your child to Hillcrest Preschool Kindergarten, where they will receive the care, support, and education they deserve. For any further inquiries or to schedule a visit, please contact us at 11 Hillcrest Avenue, Winston Hills, NSW 2153, Australia.

Reviews of Hillcrest Preschool Kindergarten
"We loved our experience with Hillcrest preschool. The staff are so caring and down to earth. Our boy always had many activities and toys provided to keep him busy and interested in the environment. Thanks to Chris for always being professional, organised and showing care for our family."
"Chris and all the team at Hillcrest are absolute superstars! We moved to this little preschool from a larger daycare and it’s been such a great experience. Our son has loved his time at Hillcrest and has made so many friends who will attend the same school. The staff are wonderful and caring, and their school readiness programme is great. Highly recommend this local gem in Winston Hills."
"My twin daughters attended Hillcrest Preschool Kindergarten for their final year of preschool prior to commencing Primary school in 2023, I cannot recommend this preschool enough, the educators are wonderful. I truly believe that my children are as prepared as they can be for primary school based on the level of education provided by the preschool. My girls are going to miss all the educators very much. Highly recommend."
