About Randwick Sustainability Hub
Welcome to the Randwick Sustainability Hub, located at 27 Munda Street in Randwick, Australia. This award-winning establishment is a center for practical education and experiencing nature. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a history buff, or simply looking for a peaceful place to relax, the Hub has something for everyone.
One of the highlights of the Randwick Sustainability Hub is its vast Eastern Suburbs Banksia Scrub, which is one of the largest inland examples in the area. This unique and critically endangered community can be explored and learned about through the Go Slo for a Mo Trail and the Discovery @ REP Trail.
As you wander along the Go Slow for a Mo Trail, you'll have the opportunity to learn some words in the local Dharawal language, connecting you to the indigenous history of Randwick. Additionally, the Hub houses an interpretive structure that preserves a remnant section of the former Naval Stores, recognized for its European cultural heritage significance.
The Randwick Community Centre, situated within the Hub, is a versatile facility designed to cater to a wide range of community uses and activities. Residents have access to meeting rooms and an activity hall, which can be hired on a fee basis. The Centre also serves as the city's education hub for sustainability and environmental programs.
If you're planning a special event, the open spaces at the Hub can be booked for weddings or commercial use. The Village Green offers ample space for outdoor activities, and there are BBQ facilities and picnic tables near the Permaculture Garden for your convenience. Please note that the Randwick Sustainability Hub is an on-leash dog park.
For those seeking a tranquil and rejuvenating experience, the Go Slow for a Mo' Nature Wellness Trail is the perfect choice. This trail is designed to help you slow down, relax, and connect with the natural wonders of the Hub. Along the trail, you'll find eight Rejuvenation Stations, including a nature names game and short sensory activities.
If you're interested in learning about the park and its native wildlife, the Discovery at Randwick Environment Park offers a self-guided walking tour. With six stations to explore, you can play, learn, preserve, and immerse yourself in the beauty of the park.
The Randwick Sustainability Hub is also home to five permaculture demonstration gardens, showcasing sustainable gardening practices. Whether you're a novice or an experienced gardener, these gardens offer inspiration and ideas for your own sustainable projects.
In addition to the various activities and programs available at the Hub, there are also options for schools, teachers, and parents. Primary and secondary schools can choose from a range of educational programs and professional development opportunities. Vacation and after-school options are also available for parents looking to engage their children in nature-based learning experiences.
Adamama, our education partner, runs holiday programs on-site, providing children with play-based outdoor learning experiences. These programs support their development and foster a connection with nature.
Randwick City Council is committed to supporting sustainability initiatives and environmental groups. Through collaboration and networking opportunities, we aim to create a positive impact on our local environment. Join our mailing list to stay updated on upcoming events and initiatives.
As we embark on this journey towards a sustainable future, we acknowledge and pay respects to the Bidjigal and Gadigal Clans, who traditionally occupied this land. We honor the Elders, past and present, and recognize their ongoing connection to the land.
Come and discover all that the Randwick Sustainability Hub has to offer. Explore, learn, and connect with nature at this remarkable institution.

Reviews of Randwick Sustainability Hub
"Love it. Great to have such a space for the community."
"I love this place! I often come here just to peruse the garden and see what's growing. It's great inspo for your own garden. They run courses as well which I have done. Also a great place to bring the dogs (friendly small dogs!)"
"The Randwick Community Centre is a multi-use space. There is a large car park area in the front with plenty of spots for lots of vehicles. The Randwick/South Sydney Family Day Care and Preschool are located at the front of the centre behind large locked gates. The centre is accessible friendly with ramps and railings to each entry door of the community centre and various offices."
"Excellent atmosphere. Lovely staff. Always a community feeling there. The garden has a signposted walking tour suitable for children to adults with information and discussion prompts around sustainable living and permaculture. Very impressive permaculture garden features. Be sure to check out the fish fertilised vertical gardens, spiral gazebo, natives and incredible free workshops and courses."
"Great place to hire a room for a meeting or birthday party. There is a kitchen and toilets. Large carpark. Plenty of open grass to run around. There is also a playground for young children."
