"Calming sceneries, noticed a white duck trying to blend into the others"
"Grew up in the area. So nice to see the park again. Needs a really good mow.. beautiful & quiet. Gas BBQ, toilets on site Lovely walks along river banks. Council have done a really good job at preservation of river banks, from erosion. Beautiful birds. Shame there isn't as many tree's as before. Would be nice if the council planted some more native tree's to replace the older versions that have disappeared. Downside no bins, so people just left their rubbish. (Doesn't take much for us, to take our rubbish home and put in our own bins)..and for that matter the fishermen to take their used or broken lines & hooks home & dispose at home. Apart from those few downsides, everyone walking are friendly, and all dogs behaved well."
"This is a hidden gem. Shaded space by the river. Not at all crowded but there are also groups having picnic, fishing, canoeing or speedboating. Public toilet available at the entrance by the car park. There are also some tables but better to bring your own."
"Lovely little park by the river. Good spot for a family picnic. It's tucked away and most people don't seem to know it's there... There's almost never a crowd. (Also it is just outside the exclusion zones for both Sydney and Bankstown airport s a good place to fly a drone... Watch out for the birds though)"
"Fitzpatrick Park is very secluded and peaceful place. Its on the bank of Georges river. There is not much to do but if you want to spend time relaxing, fishing then this place is for you. Ample of parking available and not many people around. You need to arrange anything you want as you won't get anything around to eat. Water in river is clean and you can see lots of fish in water."
