Reviews
"While I understand there are store processes (which aren’t the most convenient for the consumer), what I cannot understand is the condescending attitude of staff at the store - specifically Tessa. It seems to be a pattern according to the other reviews. Not shopping here again, thankyou Tessa."
"Store manager was very rude and condescending. I don’t know why she is still employed there with her bad attitude. On the other hand, another young male employee helped me out and was very quick and helpful with my exchange process."
"Macpac in Macquarie Centre offers a wide range of high-quality outdoor gear and apparel for adventurers of all levels. The store has a knowledgeable and friendly staff who are always happy to assist customers with their needs. Overall, Macpac is a great destination for outdoor enthusiasts in the Macquarie area."
"I wish Google Reviews would allow a zero star rating, but unfortunately the 1 star will have to do. I recently walked into this store with my partner prepared to spend a lot of money for an upcoming hike. While looking at the portable pillows, I had taken one out to inspect and come to my own assertions regarding the quality and differences of one from another. Shortly after, the lady who appeared to be the store manager, not only made a condescending remark insinuating I was a shop lifter or soon about to shop lift. I politely indicated someone probably intending to shop lift, wouldn't be calmly discussing the various products with their partner without trying to hide anything. She was quick to rudely snatch the item from my hand while continuing with her notion I was there to rob the store. I explained that perhaps customers wouldn't feel inclined to inspect products still in their packaging if they had set up some on display. With this sour taste, I left the store and went next door where the staff had told me to take products out for inspection if I wished to. For such a well known company with a store presence in a large shopping centre, I'm surprised to have had such a poor customer experience. This doesn't seem out of the ordinary when seeing other recent reviews. Macpac, I suggest you look into this matter."
"Like the other recent reviewers, I have received poor service at this store. A simple return within Macpac's 60 day refunds period was handled by Tessa with deep suspicion and disdain despite the fact that the item was completely unworn, the tags still attached and a receipt provided. Whilst everyone has their bad days, this is not the first time that I have had a less than pleasant interaction with this staff member and it really makes me think twice about shopping here. This is a shame as I am a regular Macpac shopper and the other staff at this store are lovely."
