"I would just like to start off saying that my new Hoka shoes are extremely comfortable. My experience at The Athletes Foot in Sydney Bondi Junction with Manager/owner Greg Cooper was frustrating and extremely unprofessional on his part. Let me explain. I had purchased a pair of Hoka Clifton9 two weeks earlier in Melbourne, I had used them about four times, just for walking. The tread was starting to delaminate on one of the shoes, so I decided to try and exchange them for a replacement pair at Greg Cooper’s store. That’s where I went wrong! After agreeing with me that there is a tread delaminating problem with Hoka shoes he then rejects my request for replacement shoes. Greg then basically calls us liars by saying we must have exposed the shoes to “extreme” heat. One of the runners tread was fine but the other was falling off, so if they were exposed to extreme heat I’m sure they both would be showing the same problem. That didn't stop Greg from selling the same shoes to another customer without mentioning any of the "extreme" heat issues. There was absolutely no negotiating with Greg Cooper, just him being rude and unreasonable. He mentioned he had 20 years of shoe experience, but let me tell you, he sure doesn’t know how to provide customer service. In the end we went to another location and had zero trouble exchanging the pair of shoes. Greg Cooper could definitely learn some customer service skills from them."
