About the Business
Welcome to Edendale Community Environment Farm, located at 30 Gastons Road, Eltham, Australia. As a multi-faceted institution, we offer a unique blend of a cafe, establishment, food, park, and point of interest, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Starting from Wednesday 1 March, Edendale Community Environment Farm will be going cashless, accepting card payments only for entry fees, donations, nursery, and shop purchases. However, Cafe Eden will continue to accept both cash and card. To make donating easier, we have installed EFTPOS donation touch points around the site. Your generous contributions directly support the care and well-being of our beloved animals at the farm. We sincerely thank you for your ongoing support.
Situated on seven acres of picturesque land next to the Diamond Creek, Edendale is a Community Environment Farm that aims to connect individuals with nature and foster lifelong environmental learning. A visit to Edendale promises to be a fantastic day out for the entire family. Immerse yourself in the wonders of sustainable living, revel in the beauty of the natural environment, purchase indigenous plants from our nursery, and get up close and personal with our friendly farm animals. Don't forget to feed the chooks, too!
At Edendale, our mission is to empower the community to reduce its negative impact on the environment and educate individuals about living in harmony with climate change. We offer various workshops and events where you can expand your knowledge, purchase sustainable products, indigenous plants, or veggie seedlings from our shop or nursery. Our knowledgeable staff are always available to guide you through composting or worm farming techniques. Additionally, you can hire our spaces for your own events or volunteer to help us run the farm.
We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people as the Traditional Owners of the Country on which Nillumbik is located. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and future, and extend that respect to all First Nations People. We honor the enduring strength of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and recognize that sovereignty was never ceded.
As part of Nillumbik Shire Council, we are committed to creating a fair, equitable, and inclusive community. We celebrate diversity and support the rights of all individuals, regardless of age, gender, ability, or background.
