Reviews of Kyoen
"Friendly staff and fast service, the food was delicious, need I say anymore their is some healthy options available in store as well. I tried the, tteok Bokki & some other menu items. They also serve some ready to eat meals, with rice, salads & meats, these meals are served cold there quite nice and seem to be quite healthy."
"This restaurant for sure is my favourite now, the taste of the food is just amazing, I’ve ordered one of the lasts items in the rice section with salmon , it was one of the best dishes I ever had, I highly recommend, Since my first time there I went almost 4 days in a row , I just loved!"
"This place used to have the best fries ever. Consistently. And awesome korean pancakes. I'd go here regularly, always ordering the fries and either the korean pancakes or the bibimbap. Came in today to find they changed the amazing fries to these bland thicker chips. It was a massive disappointment. Imagine going to heaven every now and then but then the next time you visit you find out you lost membership and you can't enter anymore. It was sort of like that but not as dramatic. Well it felt pretty dramatic at the time. Oh yeah, also found out today they no longer do korean pancakes. I'm sure they have logical reasons for menu changes, but my brain isn't located in my stomach so... Anyway wishing Kyoen all the best for their future! And RIP best fries ever. P.S. Hoping I can change this to a 5 star rating one day if they can resurrect the best fries ever :O"
"Ordered take away and it blows my mind that the gyozas were so burnt near charcoal burnt and was thinking that acceptable to serve. Very poor standards to be honest. The soups were average sorry to say will be the first and last time for this place."
"This place just opened so my partner and I decided to try it out. It's a fusion between Korean and Japanese food and I was pleasantly surprised. Ordered the Wagyu Udon and rice bowl (they were out of the kimchi stew that my partner originally wanted) and they were both delicious. The meat in both dishes was soft and tender. The udon soup was flavourful and rich. Although, it came with a soft boiled egg instead of the hard boiled ramen egg shown in the picture. For a new place, I'd say the quality of food is great. The prices are a bit high but they do give good sized portions. Worth trying if you live in the area."
