Reviews
"I leave this review after much thought. First of all, the Top Ride branch is close to my house. Black employees (wearing hats and masks) at Top Ride should find other work. **I'm sorry. I don't remember your name and I don't want to remember it. I feel very offended every time because of you. So I've been using the Gladesville branch for a few months now. Why are you always rude and angry with your guests? If you don't like job, find another job. Your paycheck comes from your customers. I don't know what you're complaining about, but we are your customers. I run a restaurant. I am not angry or annoyed with customers who need my help. The reason I'm posting a review after months is because today my wife went to buy liquor for me and felt disrespected by you. So I told my wife to go to Gladesville next time. It's a dirty service that never changes. I hate spending my money and feeling bad."
"The man with the longish blonde hair has the worst attitude and customer service. He made me feel like a criminal when checking my bags, I had to leave because I was in tears. This is not the only time he had made me feel uncomfortable, he is always angry (I get it, life is hard). I hope this man can get some help to improve his customer service, otherwise I am going to avoid this place and go somewhere else. Very disappointing from such a large company."
"Poor customer service, the guy at the checkout counter not even spoke a single word who seemed disinterested in serving customers. Management should look into it. I hope management take my feedback seriously. PS: My visit was on 26/06/2023 around 7pm."
"Great selection of craft beers. Great to see uncle Dan’s getting more and more varieties of craft beers. Not sure about the wine & other liquor selection. Only downside I would say (for all Dan Murphy’s) is to store craft beers especially IPAs/Double IPAs in the cool room. Nothing worse than IPAs without hop flavours and aromas. Bought a case (16) of these for $79.9. They go for $27.9 if you opt for 4 cans."
"Ok, we gotta talk about the booze we drink during covid2021. I frequent Dan Murphy’s Top Ryde because it’s the closet booze proprietor. My goal is always to pay less for a six pack of beer than I would normally be expected to pay. I am currently buying Heineken Original 500ml cabs at 5% alcohol because it’s a good deal. Majority of six packs in Sydney booze sellers are currently (subjective observation) over $20.00. So I like the deals at Dan B Murphy’s Top Ryde. I’m not sure if the same beer prices are on in offer across the stores statewide? Other than the Heineken Original 500ml cans at 5% I will look around for their six pack desks on domestic and international beer. Dan usually will have up to four six packs at $12 to $15 each. That’s where I have to go because I am financially strapped but prefer beer rather than food. I will get six pack before food. It’s easy to do. Other than great staff, always friendly, always looking to offer booze advice. I’ve never had a bad interaction with any Dan Murphy’s staff member. I go there far too much because staff members know me on sight! Just like my dead dad who when I was standing at his graveside, one of his mates said out aloud, “Your dad had a good name at the pub!” So I guess following in dad’s beersteps and I have a good name at Dan Murphy’s. Kind of think this is not a positive outcome. Anyway the only critical expression I have to say about Dan Murphy’s Top Ryde is the complicated cash register line up system. There are two distinct floor stickers that produce two lines of booze consumers. Every single time I buy booze I find myself in a community discussion as to who goes next in line to the register. They have this complex sticker system that starts in two seperate aisles that customers have to haggle as to who is next in the line. Mostly the haggling is friendly, however I have seen some boozers getting loud and uptight because the felt that the cashier line they chose was the ‘true’ line. Staff do not intervene and leave it to the customers to sort out the right of passage. It can get awkward and I think Dan Murphy’s Top Ryde should really have one advance line where customers know where they stand. It’s simply a better idea to have a single payment line rather than the converging confusing payment system they have at the moment. Beer is good,"
