"Intergenerational local greatness. Great food back then, 15 years ago Great food now! I had a samosa, lamb kebab follow by mango chicken, fish bombay curry & and a potato and spinach vegetarian with garlic naan and coconut and lemon rice. Amazing, tasty right proportions.Service was just right amount of attention. Great sauces. Perfect and enough for the freezer at home."
"Perfect family birthday dinner on a Monday night. Great to have the original owners back serving delicious curries and samosas. Hard to find such an inexpensive dinner of this quality."
"One of the best Indian food I've ever had! The owner is very welcoming. You can sit down or do take away. Open 7 days a week. Definitely recommended!"
"This is a tough one: you need to look past the decor (there isn't any). The walls are white, it's over-lit, there's a drinks fridge standing loose agains one of the walls, and the door to the toilet opens to the outdoors... When we were there, there was what looked like an old curtain rail leaning against a wall. You are definitely not here for the atmosphere! Once you look beyond that, though, the food was actually really good. I had one of the best Samosas I've had in a long time, and the portions were all ample and tasty. A restaurant can get away with almost anything if the food is good, and this one certainly has good food. I can't help hoping that they put a bit of effort into the atmosphere though; some simple things: dim the lights! Some wall art, a candle or two on the tables, hide the fridge. Those things would push it into "hidden gem" status."
"Went there tonight based on the recommendations in a facebook post and I can say with absolute certainty, I will never go back. The customer service was shocking, bordering non-existent, as we were told 30 minutes for the food and waited over an hour. The food was flavourless. The texture of the food was horrid and we ordered 2 naan(one butter one garlic), and one roti, none of which were labeled which presented a problem as we have someone allergic to garlic who was only having a plain naan. Thanks for that not so fun puzzle. My family and I all agree that this is the worst Indian food we've ever had which is a shame for a culture that has such beautiful cuisine!"
