Reviews of Victoria State Rose Garden
"A bit average to look at in wintertime as only a few flowers have bloomed by August. The gardens are beautiful however, and it's next to the expansive manor grounds which are free and well worth a visit."
"Wonderful place to sit and picnic. Plenty of rose varieties to see. The adjacent Mansion and its landscape are beautiful."
"A Bloomin' Good Time at Victoria State Rose Garden! So, I recently decided to take a couple of buddies to the Victoria State Rose Garden for a chill day out. We were all excited to see what this gorgeous garden had in store for us, and honestly, it didn't disappoint! We spent the day leisurely strolling around, soaking up the good vibes, and sniffing the blooms like we were on a mission to find the best scent. The whole place was buzzing with nature and beauty, making it the perfect spot for a laid-back outing. Sure, we may have picked a time when the roses were a bit shy and out of season, but hey, that didn't stop us from having an awesome experience! There was still plenty of lovely greenery and picturesque scenery to keep us entertained and feeling one with nature. Victoria State Rose Garden is an absolute gem, and we all had a blast. If you're looking for a sweet spot to unwind, catch up with friends, or simply bask in the beauty of the great outdoors, this garden's got you covered. Can't wait to go back during rose season to see it in full bloom!"
"The international acclaimed Victoria State Rose Garden is a must see on your Werribee Park visit. From October to May, delight in the colour and fragrance of over 5,000 roses in bloom. There are two "best" times, subject to weather. In November (spring) the first flush of blooms and the once-flowering spring roses are at their peak. Then in March, the autumn flush of modern roses make it an excellent time to see masses of flowers. Plenty of parking spaces and can be reserved for events."
"Absolutely stunning display of roses massed in beds and trailing across arbours in every hue imaginable. Well worth a visit. Congratulations and thank you to the dedicated team of volunteers who care for the roses, and the Parks staff who do the mowing!"
