"Bad behaviour from the shop counter. No greet, staring and not taking order. Your own loss of business. Would NOT recommend if you are a tourist and looking for a friendly environment to eat. Owner/staff - get some hospitality training please."
"From the CBD went there to get chips. Lady there had poor customer service for a place that’s quiet; was kind to a local kid talking about the footy but any others coming nope. For a quiet place the restaurant definitely has time to understand basic customer service and politeness."
"Appallingly the manager started arguing with me by refusing to give me a refund for my presented salmon with a hair on it! He cooked another one but my husband and I did not eat together as I waited for at least 20 minutes. I was hungry but by then I lost my appetite. He refused to compensate me of the 15 dollars and I was furious as I scoffed my fish and left. I approached the matter respectfully and even quietly around other customers. He only made sure I left with frustration and disappointment that he has no kindness for my experience. His excuse was that covid has set him back and is understaffed. No to mention that I had to carry the burden of hair on my plate and that i was meant to experience that without him taking responsibility. Why would a business man make a fellow human so upset and dissatisfied with the service and ensuring the customer is satisfied? Shame on him. Do not go there ever again! People make a nice environment a nice experience. Sad He did not reciprocate the common courtesy."
"Food was okay but made as cheaply as possible without pricing to reflect. Don't mind paying a public holidays surcharge but a charge to pay by card is a bit much considering it's not 1997. Overall very expensive for what it was and I dread to think what a smile, some friendliness or even basic manners would have cost from the lady at the counter. We had to laugh when it started raining and some other customers dared to put the table umbrella up. They were told the umbrellas couldn't go up because 'we don't want them up, that's why they are down'. We were not forgiven for assuming that the umbrellas were down because it was neither raining nor sunny. Still clearly they enjoy watching their customers getting wet while eating their over priced food."
"Wow that was a regret… One of the worst fish and chips we’ve had. The food tasted like it was fried in old oil. There was a few scales on one of the fish and the food had no real flavour to it. The service was about as rude as I’ve experienced in the whole Geelong region. At least the parking was free because the parking meter was broken"
