Reviews of Bankstown Lebanese Fruit & Mixed Business
"Went to get a pizza but stumbled into this shop in Bankstown and it had saddened me. It was once a thriving business with a wide range of produce, freshfood and meat. The meat section has been almost entirely diminished with only a few items on sale. The fruits are stale and there is very little to no customers there. This place needs a facelift and a great advertising campaign. The shops nearby needs to upgrade as well, otherwise the whole shopping centre will be a ghost town."
"Great place lots of excellent quality products at resonable prices. Always by my olives from here nobody can match them for selection, quality and price!"
"I take my mother there to do her grocery, fruit and vegetables shopping. Wide selection of Lebanese products. Prices are cheap if you are not fussed about top unmarked fresh fruits and vegetables in some cases. Friendly lady at the checkout. Hidden away in this little centre near Bankstown centre with under ground parking."
"I go there regularly for cheap onion, potato, cooking oil, fruits etc. There is large underground parking as well."
"Nino's Fruit Barn was a really interesting place a few years ago. Inside the shop there was fruit, veggies, herbs, eastern imported food, frozen food, loads of unusual stuff and a really good meat market. Sadly the meat market is gone (they didn't make enough profit) and all the specialty cheeses, salamis, European products and the rest have gone with it. The potential of Nino's and the adjacent shops is there, but for some reason it's usually empty. The stock is often stale and old, the selection is limited and expensive. People don't frequent here anymore. The adjacent shops are worth checking out, but for some reason the entire arcade struggles to bring in enough customers. The lack of business is partly due to the weak advertising on the road, and the word of mouth just isn't going around. The quality of the food and selection just isn't there anymore, people prefer to go elsewhere. The other part has to do with the awkward parking and lack of cameras and safety for the parked cars, people won't risk it."
