Reviews of Bradfield
"Go to QE foods (50m walk) or the soon to be opened IGA (30m walk) instead. The people who run this store are straight up super dodgy scammers. They don’t say what the total bill is when they type it into their eftpos machine, I’m assuming relying on the fact that many people won’t notice the huge bill before tapping. When asked about specific prices for items, they make (super expensive) prices up on the spot. When questioned they try to brush it off saying ‘just checking you were paying attention’. You’ll notice that very few prices are marked on items. In the money they make from ripping people off, they lose in loyal local customers."
"Prices are insane. They charge triple the price for basic drinks and the ice blocks don’t even have prices (which you know is a sign that they’re very expensive). Some drinks had obviously been there for so long that they were out of date - it was sold to us out of date and we didn’t realise till we got on the train. You’re better just to walk through the train station and go to Woolworths on the other side. Customer service isn’t great and the whole place smells like rotten fruit. Visited a few years back on New Years Eve and they were charging $6 for a bottle of water."
"Unethical store. Charge you much more than the advertised price for necessary items. $14 for 2 bottles of water. $25 for 2 packs of toilet paper (4 pack) How are they allowed to operate? Is it even legal to charge these abnormal prices?"
"So this local store is rorting customers because of the current panic buying. They are charging12.99 for washing up liquid. I won't be shedding any tears if they go belly-up as a consequence of the current crisis. They don't belong in our community"
"We went into this store on New Year's Eve 2019/20. Noticed all the regular prices on the shelves had been covered up but didn't think any thing of it until we were at the register and handed over a $50 for 2x 600ml cokes and a 50g packet of crisps and got $20 change. $30 for items that normally cost a few bucks each. The queue behind us was long and impatient and they just ignored us when we complained. We watched on and could plainly see they were making up the prices out of thin air. Will NEVER spend my money here ever again."
