Reviews of Ashcroft's SUPA IGA Erskine Park
"Not the first time I’ve been in the 12 item or less lane and been shafted noticed everyone else including staff getting a free. mixer/shaker with the purchase when I turned up nothing. Time is 3.55pm 9/8/23."
"We just went to Erskine park IGA and had the pleasure of being welcomed by Pauline at the checkout. She is a warm and friendly lady and gave us exceptional service. Pauline is such an asset to the company and I look forward to seeing her on our next visit."
"Nice little shop, standard produce similar to Coles or woolies, yet nice deli and a few extras. More than just a top up shop, friendly and well trained staff."
"I bought lamb chops and they were in date but when I opened them they were slimy, green in the middle and smelt really bad, so I rang the shop and was finally put onto a manager who informed me that it was not their fault because they get the meat shipped in already packaged, and she told me I was lucky to get a refund as I did not have a receipt, but the young man recognised me when I came back into the shop to return the chops. Really, not your fault, have you heard of health laws and if someone brings back a product that is sold from your shop and as you and the lady at the cash register said you could both smell the meat was off, I will put a complaint into Penrith as a matter of fact I’m writing an email now, your ignorance and unwillingness to recognise how dangerous this situation is, you need training on better food handling and your customer service skills are worse, I won’t be back but I’m sure the health inspectors will. I hope you have a food handling certificate! Your only getting one star because it won’t let me give nil!"
"I can only provide a rating on my experience and at this stage that is click and collect only. I will note that the store looked great from the front counter. Upon entering the store I walked to the customer service area, at which point I waited for 6-8 customers to be served for the staff member to then tell me she didn't know where to go for click and collect and that she would find out. She was very friendly and professional and did as she said she would which is appreciated. I was then told that I needed to walk out of the store, back down the shopping centre, threw and alley to the back of the building, where I would find a man door with a doorbell to ring. In reality what I found was a back loading dock, with a fire door, a steel roller and a well used light switch located at the very top of the fire door... After walking in between a skip bin, pallet, electric pallet jack and another skip bin to even get to the door, it turns out the grotty light switch out of reach of alot of people is the door bell. Who knew. I am quite sensative to smells so this likely won't affect all people but it stinks really bad back there, like rotting vegetables and bin juice stink. Overall this was an unclear, stinky and gross feeling experience that I will not be doing again and will instead click and collect from another store. From a customer's perspective there is no excuses for this experience. If there is not enough click and collect orders to justify signage and a more customer experience focused process then why not just bring each order to the front of the store as needed. If there is too many orders to do this then there is no excuse for a better system or at the very least signage out in the gross loading dock. I may try shopping in store at some point as the store itself looked very well kept and will update my review according."
