"My husband and I have just returned from a three-week trip to Vietnam, the majority of which was booked with Odynovo. We are both experienced travellers and I usually take great pleasure in planning and organising our trips myself but I can honestly say that having most of the logistics taken off my hands by Odynovo’s hugely efficient staff and wonderful guides has made this a wonderful and entirely stress-free trip! First of all, I was impressed how helpful and co-operative Odynovo were when our previously booked trip had to be cancelled at very short notice due to Covid. Odynovo refunded a significant part of our (at that point non-refundable) deposit and held the rest for us for any future trip. So when I contacted them to book this trip three years later, there was absolutely no quibble about being able to put this amount towards our new trip. Really appreciated. Our travel consultant, Ander Zou, was helpful, patient and extremely flexible when putting together our Vietnam journey. He chopped and changed itineraries, accommodations etc according to my latest whim and without ever making me feel like I was a difficult customer! He even emailed me during the trip when he heard from one of the guides that I had had a spot of food-poisoning and managed to upgrade us to one of the most exclusive Halong Bay cruise-ships (and a royal suite cabin on top of that) for no extra cost! W started our trip in Phu Quoc (booked myself). Then our Odynovo trip started: Ho Chi Minh City (with a river cruise to Cu Chi tunnels), Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Halong Bay, Hoi An and Hue (where we stayed at the fabulous Vedana Lagoon Resort to celebrate my hubby’s 50th birthday; self-organised). From the moment we were picked up from our Phu Quoc hotel to the moment our Hoi An guide dropped us back off at Hue airport, everything went like clock-work. All our guides and drivers were just wonderful – punctual, kind, informative, extremely approachable and flexible in accommodating any special requests, changes in schedule etc we were asking for. In HCMC, Ms Kim could not have been friendlier and more efficient in showing us the city’s sights and explaining so much of its history. In Hanoi, our guide Ha and driver Mr Huy were brilliant. In the four days we spent with them, we learnt so much more than just the touristy stuff. Ha never grew tired of answering all our nosy questions about his family, Vietnamese society and traditions and much more. In Hoi An/Hue, Tuan (and of course, Mr Hua) was just first-class and a real pleasure to chat to. It was more like being shown around by a lovely, knowledgeable local friend who was bending over backwards to make this the best trip possible for us. Tuan even gave my husband a bottle of wine for his big birthday, a lovely gesture from him/Odynovo! All in all, we enjoyed a perfect, memorable trip that couldn’t have gone more smoothly thanks to Odynovo and our wonderful guides and which will long live on in our memory. Can’t wait to plan the next trip with this great company!"
