Welcome to the Essendon Theatre Company (ETC), a local community-based theatre company located in the heart of Essendon, Melbourne. With a rich history spanning over four decades, ETC has established itself as a prominent institution in the vibrant theatre scene of Essendon.

Since its formation in 1976, ETC has continuously delighted audiences with its exceptional productions, ranging from gripping dramas to side-splitting comedies and enchanting pantomimes. With an impressive repertoire of over one hundred productions, ETC has become a beloved fixture in the local community.

As a member of The Victorian Drama League (VDL), ETC proudly participates in the annual VDL Awards, showcasing their outstanding talent and dedication to the art of theatre. The company is driven by a team of passionate theatre lovers and volunteers, all committed to promoting and nurturing amateur theatre in the Essendon area.

Located in the Bradshaw Street Community Hall, ETC provides a warm and intimate setting for their performances. From the 3rd to the 6th of August and the 10th to the 12th of August 2023, ETC will be presenting two captivating productions. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances will take place at 8pm, with a Sunday matinee at 2pm.

The first production, "Between Life & Death" by Angelo Snell and directed by Shobana Sebastian, promises to take audiences on a thought-provoking journey. Starring a talented cast including Joel Beling, Emily Goode, Angel Snell, and Alyssa Campagna, this play explores the intricate complexities of life and death.

Following that, "The Worst Thing Is" by Melissa Forge and directed by Casey Bohan will captivate audiences with its raw and emotional storytelling. Featuring Sophie Stewart and Melissa Forge in the lead roles, this production delves into the depths of human experiences, uncovering the worst things that life can throw at us.

Additionally, ETC presents "Garry," a captivating play written and directed by Audrey Farthing. Warrick Smith and Luisa Romeo bring this intriguing tale to life, offering a unique and immersive theatrical experience.
