Reviews of Forum Melbourne
"Spectacular venue with amazing architecture, decor and acoustics. Whether you are seeing a concert, theatre or standup act- the sound here is perfect. Gives the feeling of being in an open air Roman stadium with ancient statues under the moonlight. I also love the art deco toilets."
"Not a bad place for a show. However, if they allow general ticket holders to just stand, it would be wise to raise the stage slightly or have a large screen of the stage as I, and a lot of vertically challenged humans mostly saw the backs of people's heads. Luckily, everyone had their phones out recording and I was watching majority of the performance through their lenses."
"Forum is a heritage listed and iconic Melbourne building on the corner of Flinders Street and Russell Street. First opened in 1929 this building has hosted so many great performances. On this occasion I came to see the uber talented Matt Corby in person on the large stage. The venue is great for live performances like this with plenty of standing room, some seated tables and a couple of bars. Capacity is around 2000. Upstairs is the handy cloak room and 'gender neutral' toilets - not getting used to that."
"Stepping into the Forum Melbourne is like walking into a perfect blend of history, architecture, and modern entertainment. The venue itself is a visual spectacle, its vintage charm infused with state-of-the-art facilities creating a unique ambiance unlike any other. What truly makes the Forum Melbourne stand out, though, is its fantastic acoustics. It's clear that the design of the venue was crafted with a focus on providing the best possible sound experience. Whether attending a concert, a theatre performance, or a stand-up comedy, every word, note, and sound is crystal clear, making for an immersive and unforgettable experience."
"Went to see Michael Franti and Trombone Shorty, a perfect venue for these stars! This icon space is a small, intimate venue that allows you to feel part of the gig. Room to dance, easy access to the bars, art deco toilet is very cool. Performers could move from the stage into the crowd easily."
