Reviews
"Longest lines - ticket and fnb combined - 3 staff. Moronic setup. So frustrating. Ran out of time an purchased zero refreshments. So so dumb."
"Local cinema. Had the antique vibe into it. Good enough for me to enjoy the movie. Many elderly locals come here."
"Have been here 3 times within 3 weeks. The first time the toilets were filthy with no soap in dispenser, the cinema was freezing and despite going out twice and many other patrons doing the same, no change. The second time, toilets still filthy, no soap in dispenser but the cinema was warm, so that's progress. Third time two staff serving people, I waited patiently until I realised that one staff member was just having a chat even though I was standing directly in front of him, I had to interrupt so I could purchase a ticket. Toilets still filthy, no soap in dispenser, but at least the cinema was warm. Simply not good enough. Will be making Pentridge my preferred destination despite being further away."
"Nice old style cinema. Lifts and ramps for wheelchair access. Only one aisle of stairs in the cinema, so you're pushing past a lot of patrons to get to our seat in some cinemas. Good popcorn and icecreams and choc tops, though out of stock in at least 50% of flavours. Spanish film festival was great."
"This place has been a cinema and loved by the community for as long as I can remember as we used to come here with my family when I was 5yo. The furniture and cinema seating must be the same or very similar to those I sat on many years ago. This old school feel gives the cinema character. There are many positives about this retro icon of Westgarth with its eclectic decor and a warm and inviting atmosphere. International film festivals are celebrated and art house films are regularly featured here. Come here for an enjoyable experience as well as watch movies that are not offered at the mainstream cinema houses."
