Reviews of Mumbai Express
"For a $13.50 combo deal, naan, drink, rice with some of the best Chana Masala i have ever had. I was very content, would recommend! Not sure how necessary the plastic bowl for the curry is though. Feels a bit wasteful, especially if it’s just being poured beside the rice for dine in eaters."
"Very generous portions for very cheap prices considering it is very easy to be ripped off with Indian food at the moment. The naan we received was definitely freshly made and the rice was fluffy and warm. The butter chicken was very nice, a generous amount of tender chicken. The curry was nice tasting but nothing extraordinary. A good indian food option in the westfield food court."
"I am not sure how many stars i need to give. Order meat combo meal for 16.5. Dont believe this should be 16.5 from the look of quatity of the curry. So i have a plate of brasmati rice, naan bread and butter chicken as well as small soft drink. Naan bread is ok, soft , freshly build. Got no complained. Butter chicken- biggest dissapointing dish. Taste is very weak, and not really butter chicken as it is too liquid and not solid. Brasmati rice- cheap brasmati rice. With all of this , naan bread cost 3 or 3.5, small drink 2 dollar, rice probably 3 dollar as you can get special at wollies or coles for 10-15 bucks and the curry cost 8 bucks ? Yeah nah.."
"I ordered pav bhaji and it was look liked gravy ,not the pavbhaji and when I ask them what is it they said this the pavbhaji what we have and when I called chef he said may be you don’t have idea about pav bhaji. I am Indian so I know how the taste of bhaji is.He argue with me again and again and at the end I have to chuck that bhaji in bin.( pav was also dry )Don’t go for pavbhaji there they served frozen bhaji or curry . you will get better taste in many other restaurants."
"I really like the royal theme of the restraunt. Reminds me of Raja and Maharajas of old time. The staff was really professional, cooperative and helpful. Food was really very aromatic, it catches your senses from far by help of fragrance and vibrant colours They have quite a long menu to decide food from. I tried the meal plate. It costed me $18.5 after adding a 330 ml can. The taste was good and it was at an economical price than the competitors around. Overall RECOMMENDED"
