Owned by Dr. Greg and Kerrie Rodgers, we have been serving the Carrum and Patterson Lakes community since 1991. We believe in the importance of continuity of care, and whenever feasible, we strive to ensure that your pet receives treatment from the same veterinarian. This approach allows us to deliver a more personal level of service, something that sets us apart from other veterinary clinics.

At Patterson River Veterinary Centre, we offer a comprehensive range of services to keep your pet healthy. From vaccinations, desexing, and microchipping to parasite control, dedicated hydrobath facilities, puppy classes, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, orthopedic surgery, radiology, ultrasound, pathology, and premium pet foods - we have everything your pet needs under one roof.

Our veterinarians are skilled in all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery. We regularly perform various types of surgeries on-site. If your pet is unwell and requires testing, treatment, or surgery, we will always discuss the available options with you. We also believe in transparent communication about costs, and if there are any changes during the course of treatment, we will inform you promptly. Your pet's well-being is our priority, and we will work closely with you to ensure they receive the care they deserve.

As members of the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA), Australian Small Animal Veterinary Association (ASAVA), and International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM), we are committed to continuing education. This allows us to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in veterinary care and provide the best possible treatment for your furry companions.

For those with new puppies, our puppy classes are a fantastic way to safely socialize your furry friend. These classes are held weekly over four weeks, with each session lasting for one hour. The fee for the program is $150, and you can find more information on our Puppy Classes page.

We are also proud to offer generous discounts on all services to three deserving working dog rescue groups. If you are considering getting a new pet, we encourage you to consider rescuing an animal and saving a life.

For our feline patients, we have created a "Cat only" area in our waiting room. This space is designed to provide a comfortable and stress-free environment for your kitty, away from distractions.

And for your convenience, we offer a purpose-built self-serve dog wash facility. For just $15, you can bring your dirty dog and give them a wash and shine. It's a win-win situation - your dog gets clean, and you stay dry!
