"Surprisingly natural oasis in the middle of the city. Follows a beautiful stream through a sandstone gorge with plenty of birds and wildlife. A waterfall caps it off."
"Scenic and serene, this reserve is a welcome oasis from the bustle of the city that surrounds it. The bushwalking is accessible to all levels of fitness."
"Short trek around 1-2hr most from here to Balaka falls end. Mostly flat with few ups. Hunts creek is flowing along the trek. Considering the debris hanging around near the creek, it can say the trek and bridges will be under water when raining. The creek is beautiful to see, many limestone caves along with the creek. There’s no fish in the water, not a single fish Trees are greeny and big. Good trek to go with kids. Dogs are allowed on leash in some areas. Can take the bus from the Parramata station and then walk up to the start of trek."
"A lovely walking trail in North Rocks. Went for a walk around 5-5:30pm, wasn’t too hot and lots of shade. From here, you can also make your way over to Balaka Falls. Level: Easy to walk"
"I love going here. There are a lot of walks you can do here and take in the nature. I love the birds, lizards, frogs, butterflies and lots types of nature here. There is a waterfall no more than 5 minutes walk into the sanctuary. It can be amazing just after the rain. Very nice and worth a visit."
