"We stayed at 'The sweetest retreat' Blairgowrie, in January and while the communication with bookabreak was great, I was really disappointed with the response from my review of the property on airbnb. Reviews are written to help others when looking for a place to stay and I value these when I'm looking for accomodation. We contacted bookabreak during our stay as there were a couple of maintenance issues we discovered on our arrival. I also noted that the kitchen and laundry weren't all that clean when we arrived. I put this on my airbnb review and was shocked to get a reply from bookabreak stating they were 'baffled by my comments around cleanliness.' I wouldn't make this up and in fact I spent my first hour there cleaning the kitchen and laundry as they just weren't up to scratch. The exterior of the rubbish bin was filthy, the oven I wouldn't use as it was dirty, dirty cutting boards when I went to use them and I could list more. We also took photos of the BBQ which once again we had to clean before use. They state in their review that they take cleanliness seriously and that these areas were thoroughly checked at their pre-inspection. If I owned this property, I'd be concerned as to who is doing these pre-inspections. I would think you'd take this as constructive criticism rather than write what you did in your review. It was really disappointing to see."
