"I booked in for a dry cut and layering, but I left pretty disappointed. The blonde tips were cut off but my hair doesn't look professional or cohesive - it’s boxy with no layering. Keeping in mind I asked about three times for layers. I also mentioned I wanted some help styling my bangs which I had cut by Kiki two days beforehand (who I was very satisfied with), hinting well enough that it didn’t look how I wanted and yet she didn’t offer to blow it back even though I was more than happy to have an extended appointment. By the end of my appointment I wasn’t even offered to have a look at the back of my hair or if I was satisfied, it just looked like they were in a rush. If I wanted a quick and cheap haircut I go would to an express hair salon. I went to a boutique for their professionalism, not their efficiency. I looked on their website after the appointment and it does underline it’s a half an hour cut without styling but I was not made aware by the receptionists before my session. Given the time the hairdresser had and the hair she had to work with, I do not blame her for the result - but it was a $60 cut with heaps more potential if I was advised properly on my appointment first. I would recommend training the staff at the front desk to be more informative to clients what appointments would suit them best for what they want to achieve. It’s a shame since I was looking forward to visiting this salon frequently but I found this salon focusing too much attention on services like tea and water and their sustainability charges ($3 on what you do with my excess hair that’s not optional?) rather than the actual hairdressing experience itself."

"I had a colour by Kara and hair cut by Min at Kalon and I feel like a new person. The colour was exactly what I wanted and having long hair I knew I wanted to spice it up but did want to keep the length. Leaving it in the hands of Min I am so happy. She was able to keep my length but gave me the perfect layers to suit my face shape. So happy"

I was very happy with the level of detail the staff go into in terms of helping me with my hair health & choosing the best cut for me. I was really happy with the end result, my fair felt so healthy & nourished. The service was amazing, including tea & a treat during my hair cut."
