"Professional, friendly barber, visited multiple times, never disappoints."
"I wasn't going to post a review but this has been bothering me so I'll just get it off my chest. This was from a visit 2 weeks ago in the late arvo (cut by the owner). Walked in for a razor bald cut. Owner said because I hadn't done a razor cut before he'll need to see if I have the correct type of scalp, if not he'll use that clipper used for skin fades with 2 coiled lines. There wasn't any other customers in the store. I sit in the chair and tell him I also wanna line up my beard. It's already been trimmed, just neaten the lines. He told me what he'd do for it, okay cool sounds good. He starts using what I'm pretty sure was a beard trimmer without attachments and roughly scratches my head. He sees I don't have the scalp for razor, okay no problem. He uses the beard trimmer all over my head which I assume is to make it short enough for the skin bald coiled trimmer (as we had discussed). Half way in a customer walks in and sits down. He finishes with the beard trimmer and says all done. Obviously I was annoyed and questioned how on earth is this done when he hasn't actually done skin bald which was the job I'm paying him to do. I literally could have just used my beard trimmer at home for that. He huffed and puffed with me, saying that if he uses the skin coil clipper he'll need to clean out the hair catcher a bunch of times. Sorry mate but not my problem. Don't complain about having to maintain the tools that you need to do your job. Do what you need to get the job done, and don't try and make me sound like a burden. He's doing the skin electric shave and another customer walks in and sits down. As we get towards the end and I remind him about lining up my beard (as previously agreed). He says that I need to make a "special booking" because apparently this is a complex type of job. When I first sat down and told him that's what I wanted, he had no problem and explained what he'd do for me. What it seems like to me is that he cannot work under pressure. One person walks in and he doesn't have time to use the skin bald electric clippers anymore and choses to blame me for burdening him. Then when he has a second person waiting, the story is now sorry but you'll need a special booking for beard lines. I'd never been there before and he said he would do it, and now it's my fault for making a "special booking"?. He still did my beard lines, but decided to spend a few minutes lecturing me that I did something wrong. If you can't do the job, don't accept it. Simple. If you're flustered, get another barber. Simple. I was happy with how it looked as the end result, so that's what the 1 star in this review is for. I can see the owner is very aggressive towards people who leave negative reviews, and I don't expect anything different for my review. I expect him to say "WELL YOU DIDN'T..." or maybe he might say I was never a customer (seen him write that a few times). Either way, owner, take on the feedback because you ruined what I was hoping to be a good experience. I'm pretty sure most of these Google ratings proceeded when you bought the shop 2 years ago. I wish you would ask Google to do a reset for a more accurate representation. Maybe you might end up with the same score but it's dishonest to claim these 5 star reviews for work done by OTHER people in a business you had NO INVOLVEMENT in until 2 years ago. All the best. Edit: I wish you all could've seen the original aggressive response the owner wrote in reply to my above negative review. It was downright abusive. I've just seen that he's edited his review and done a huge 180° spin and pretending to be polite all of a sudden. Clearly someone has told him how bad his abusive response reflects on his business. His previous words were "I'll give you back your measly $40" but now he's suddenly polite and offering me a refund with nice words. Thanks mate but put my 'measly' $40 towards your enrollment for a course in Customer Service. Just to be clear, I walked out unhappy with your service. What took 2 weeks was for me to decide to write this scathing review."
"Eddy does always does a fantastic job when cutting my husband’s hair and at a get price! Thanks mate"
"Been going to Eddie’s for a year now and I go weekly. Most honest down to earth men I met and top bloke. Haircut always on point"
"I like the result. The price is affordable, not too cheap, but not expensive as well. Will return to this place again when I need a haircut."
