"Booked to have my roots done and a trim/blow waive, was quoted $65 for roots plus another $65 for cut and blow waive. During the appointment I was advised toner is also required, no pricing is discussed however I thought it would be an additional $30ish as that's what I'd seen from their menu. Come to pay and it's suddenly my $130-150 hair appointment is now $260!!! Apparently double the amount of product was required however not once was this discussed, and the toner was an additional $70! When I tried to discuss with them my unhappiness that $130 was added without any consultation I was told tough luck, that was what was used. It was far more than I could afford and put me in financial difficulty, if I had of been consulted I would have advised I couldn't afford it and just would have opted for something cheeper. Ive been a regular client however now I'll never go back and will be taking this further. I hate when hairdressers gouge clients using these shady practices. *Update on this - basically the salon screwed up, put way to much dye on my head (enough for full recolor instead of roots touchup) and then denied it and charged me for their screw up and refused to fix it. Completely ruined by balayage and left so much dye on my scalp i needed to wash my hair again to remove it. Complete waste of money and dodgy practices, lucky i was able to find another salon who offered to fix my hair for free and i haven't looked back since."
