"I was looking at the Blackburn central Pharmacy website today while briefly waiting for my prescriptions to be filled and was astounded to see negative reviews. I've always found Paul, Geoff, Tom, Sophia and Lisa to be absolutely lovely, extremely accurately anticipatory, helpful and friendly. I'm always disappointed when I have to go elsewhere simply because I cannot get to Blackburn. A really well run and staffed pharmacy, thank you :)"
"Always accommodating, very competitive price, friendly and respectful. I have returned to Blackburn Central Pharmacy every time when I cannot find what I need from other pharmacy. Well done!!"
"If I had the option, I would give this review a 0/5. I sought assistance for my Vyvanse prescription, carrying my usual 30-day supply script from Perth, along with an emergency 5-day script I had just obtained in Melbourne, as my physical medication had been lost when I travelled to Melbourne. When I asked Paul if he could dispense an interstate script, he refused, saying that Victorian pharmacists aren't allowed to dispense interstate scripts for Schedule 8 medication. He told me he could only dispense the 5-day emergency script instead and that I would be charged for the whole bottle. I had to pay $90 for just 5 capsules. To put this in perspective, had I dispensed my Perth script, I would have paid $6.50 for 30 capsules. I ended up having to pay 83 times what I could have paid for the same medication. Afterwards, upon consulting a pharmacist friend, I was informed that prescriptions for Schedule 8 medication from other states could indeed be dispensed in Victoria. A quick Google search confirmed this, and I subsequently visited another pharmacy that happily accepted my Perth script and only charged me $6.50 for 30 capsules. Hoping this was a misunderstanding, I returned to the pharmacy to explain the situation to Paul. He seemed surprised and defended his actions by saying that his information was to the 'best of his knowledge.’ Despite this, he refused to refund me the $90 for five capsules."
"I went in to get a script for generic amoxicillin today and they tried to charge me approximately $20.00 for it (this is generic mind you). Took my script back and got it for $5.95 at Chemist Warehouse. Will definitely not go back again. They also don't put the price on the medication which I've never come across before."
"Helpful and friendly staff who go above and beyond in their service and advice. Great location, right next to GP clinic. Scripts are marginally dearer than the chain chemists - but so personable it’s worth it."
