I have received a lot of positive compliments of my hairstyle. Thank you for taking over the other hairdresser who's less motivated and opposed the hairstyle that I wanted to and trying to discriminate me. "I was pretty disappointed by my experience at Barber Dollz watergardens. I was a walk in, and when I approached the desk was told that their card machine wasn’t working and that they’d have room to see me (quoting $45 for a trim) but recommended I go get some cash out first. I went and got the cash, and came back and waited inside. I was really grateful they could fit me in without an appointment so I didn’t mind the wait. About 15 mins after arriving one of their hairdressers (the same one who quoted me) took me through to wash my hair. While doing so she told me that my roots were really dry and ask if I wanted them treated - I said no thank you. She also told me my scalp was very oily, and left some shampoo in while she went off and did something. About 5 mins later she came back, rinsed it out and moved me to the chair. She cut my hair as normal and then before she started drying it, told me my scalp was really dry. I was a bit confused because she had told me less than 20 mins ago it was oily, but listened politely. She cut off more than I’d asked because she says she wanted to get rid of the dry ends and I’d said no to the treatment - I was a bit disappointed but overall it looked good so I had no issues. Anyway, the haircut ended and I went to pay, pulling out the $50 cash I’d gotten out earlier. She told me it was $80. I was really confused and said I only had the $50 cash because she had quoted me $45. She then told me that was okay, I could just pay the remaining $30 on card. I said that I thought the card machine wasn’t working (hence why I’d gotten the cash out). She just glanced at it quickly, and said “oh it’s working now”. A little bit shell shocked, I paid the $80 all on card and then left, noticing that the cash only sign was still there 30 mins later when I walked past again. Wasn’t unhappy with the cut but I felt so cheated by them. Never again."

"Yesterday I had a profound experience. After being in a very dark place I wanted to do something for myself and took a risk in trying a brand new hairdresser. I haven't had a decent cut and colour for many years and I felt like me and my hair were just too old and frumpy. Yesterday I met Nadia and Jesse at Barber Dollz and my faith is now restored. This was the best colour and cut I have had in at least 20 years! I was so grateful, and became quite emotional. These guys were so welcoming - no judgement, they just got in and did it. Everyone I've seen today have made the nicest comments, and I just can't find the right words to express my gratitude. Such a great experience - thank you Nadia!! (and Jesse too)."
