At Haberfield Veterinary Hospital, we deeply value our connection to the community, both locally and at large. We take great pride in the service we provide to our clients, some of whom have been with us since our doors first opened in 1975. Additionally, we actively support various local community groups and institutions, including our schools. We are truly honored by the loyalty of our clients, who appreciate the genuine care and dedication of our entire staff in providing the best possible veterinary care within a supportive community context.
We are proud to offer training opportunities for Veterinary Science students from the University of Sydney, allowing them to gain valuable hands-on experience at our hospital. In compliance with government regulations, we want to inform cat owners that those who have not desexed their cats by 4 months of age are required to pay an $80.00 annual permit in addition to the one-off lifetime pet registration fee. However, there are exemptions available. As for dog owners, those who have dogs of a restricted breed or declared as dangerous must pay an annual permit fee of $195.00 in addition to the one-off pet registration fee, with no exemptions. Lifetime registration for dogs is mandatory by 6 months of age, but desexing your dog before this time may make you eligible for discounted fees at the time of registration. It is important to note that desexing your dog is not compulsory, and exemptions can be provided by veterinarians.
At Haberfield Veterinary Hospital, we are committed to providing exceptional veterinary care while also fostering a strong sense of community. We invite you to visit our hospital and experience the compassionate care and support that we offer to all animals and their owners. "Cavoodle Lulu Helen you are amazing .. God bless you for doing the 2 crucial ligaments on Lulu .. the ops have been incredible .. I cannot believe at 13 and a half years how quick she is recovering.. thank you I cannot say enough .. you are one of the few in this world who really care.. I cannot say enough of my gratitude to you ... THANK YOU SO MUCH"
"This place is incredible. The service I recieved her was unparalelled, the vet explained everything to me and was incredibly kind and patient. Will always come here for vet needs."
"First visit to this practice, for a 2nd/3rd opinion for a complex case. I had wanted to see Dr Tanya, who was recommended due to her special interest in veterinary ethics and rational management, but she is on brief leave presently, so we saw Dr Helen and were very impressed with the care she provided today. Kind, compassionate, sensible. Also very impressed with clinic staff who very clearly handed over to vet everything I called ahead to tell them. I definitely have a new vet."
"Wonderful caring veterinary practice with very reasonable prices (amazing for a low income student like me). Waiting time wasn’t too long and the vet was kind and careful with my cat. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. ❤️"
"Had to take an injured possum to a WIRES approved vet and they suggested Haberfield Veterinary Hospital. The staff here were very welcoming and helped with taking care of the possum straight away. They then kept us updated with the outcome. Thank you so much"
