"Wow. Just had the worst haircutting experience of my life. I arrive at Barberio to be greeted by the guy who I presume to be the owner/manager. Also has previously cut my hair 3 times which I have been happy with. There are 2 other barbers there who I haven’t seen before and he quickly ushers me over one of them (fair enough as they are both free). This guy asks me what I want and I show him a photo (one of the hair cuts his boss has previously done). He glances at the photo for only a fraction of a second before throwing the cape over me and this was when the madness begun. This guy clearly hates his job or just doesn’t care. - He starts with the comb in a haphazard manner, with exaggerated flicking movement, shaving random bits of hair over the comb. - 50% of this time he wasn’t even looking at what he was doing while he was cutting, instead engaging in intense staring contests and pouting at random people walking past the shop. - At one point he attaches a certain clipper guard to the clipper, goes to start cutting but the guard falls off and onto the ground. Instead of attaching another guard or picking up the dropped one and cleaning it, just just ignores it and starts cutting without a guard….surely that wasn’t part of the plan? - When cutting the front of my hair with scissors, he yanks on my hair so firmly upwards/backwards that it seems like he is trying to pull my hair out to save cutting it. - Generally using so much force with the comb/clipper/scissors that it seemed like he was intentionally treating me as a bobble head. I was left with red marks on my head/neck. - At the end of all this he stands back and bellows “THAT ALRIGHT, BOSS?” When I ask him whether he can make the top a little more tidy he grabs the clipper and proceeds to just shave the whole top of my head, taking off about half of the remaining length of hair. Certainly the worst haircut I have ever had. The disdain this guy showed while cutting my hair was incredible. I was previously a loyal customer to this new business but will certainly never be returning. Many other barbers in the area are providing far superior service. The fact that these guys are dead quiet at midday on a Saturday speaks volumes."
