Oscar's on the Yarra is a place that fulfills your heart's desires and caters to your body and mind's needs. Our establishment, which began as a humble farmhouse in 1890 and later transformed into a guesthouse in the 1920s, is situated on 12 sprawling acres along the banks of the Yarra River. Our rooms are designed to provide you with utmost comfort, featuring dreamlike beds, perfect pillows, crisp white linen, and Warbotanical amenities. Each room is equipped with a small bar fridge, TV, bedside tables and lamps, local artwork, kettle, and tea and coffee facilities. Most rooms boast French doors that open onto a balcony, allowing you to wander onto the lush lawn and down to the river's edge. Some rooms even share their balcony with neighboring rooms, creating a sense of community and camaraderie.

During the winter months and chilly evenings, you can gather around the roaring fires in our lounges, where you can mingle and meet other guests, just as intended by the original St Andrew's Guesthouse in 1926.

To start your day off on a wholesome note, a country breakfast is included in your room rate. Indulge in freshly squeezed orange juice, housemade granola, yogurt, and fruit, or savor eggs, bacon, our secret recipe mushrooms, wilted spinach, and toast, all made to order and served in our charming dining room or on the balcony shaded by our century-old Oak tree. We proudly serve Silva Coffee with Gippsland Jersey Milk, and alternative milk options such as soy, oat, and almond are also available.

For those seeking a little extra space, our Deluxe King Rooms offer ample floor space for a waltz or yoga session. These rooms can accommodate a fold-out bed if required and feature a spacious ensuite and a private balcony.

Our Standard King Rooms, each with a slightly different view and layout, provide a king-size bed, ensuite, and balcony access to the outdoors. We strive to reserve our riverside rooms for guests who book directly with us, ensuring they enjoy the utmost tranquility and beauty.

If you are traveling solo, we have a cozy little room perfect for one person. It offers a king-single bed, ensuite, and balcony access on the Little Joe side of the building. This room provides easy access to the Rail Trail and even has space for your bike on the balcony.
