"We were about to eat there at the sushi train today. It was our first time so we were waiting for one of the 2 guys to acknowledge us or inform us that we can sit anywhere. We waited for a few minutes, not one of them were even giving us eye contact. They were just making themselves busy fixing little things here and there. It would only take a few seconds to acknowledge us, but they just avoided eye contact as best as they can. It was an awkward few minutes until we decided to just go. I guess they dont want paying customers :) We tried a different restaurant instead."
"Food was okay but today was the first and last time... I went there first sushi I had from the sushi train was dry as... I told the lady what happened, and she goes "oh so sorry, we were understaff and it was probably there since this morning or this afternoon, do you want another one? And I said if it's gonna be the same no thank you.... And... She didn't say anything.... At the end No refund, nothing... Poor service...."
"Had take away hero combo pack and seaweed salad, was ok but nothing special. The salad was nice though. Service was prompt and good. There is a sushi train which seemed busy during lunch. #sushi #sushitrain"
"After many years of operating precovid, their ipads are finally are up and running a couple years later. We go here for a quick sushi fix occassionally. If you don't mind traveling I would prefer to go into the city for better sushi and definitely more variety, if you like soft shell crab, tuna belly (Toro), Inari varieties, Temaki (Cone shape rolled sushi) this isn't the place that offers this. My favorite is the salmon lover, salmon belly (made to order, they are never on the conveyer belt) and grilled scallop. Sometimes you can get yesterday's rice. It really depends on the time you go. I would recommend going early if possible because their kitchen closes early at night time (I think kitchen stops taking orders around 6-7 ish). We went yesterday at 5.30pm, the fresh sashimi was nice but the veggies seem to have been there for a little too long... They looked quite lifeless.(Please refer to photo). I think they pack on the sauce a little too much as well... The sauce is meant to compliment the food not drown out the original taste too much in my opinion."
"Delicious. Well priced. Fresh. Friendly manager. Authentic Japanese ingredients used throughout. Gyoza imported from Japan, not the MSG laden Chinese variety. Japanese sushi rice cooked to perfection with just the right amount of rice wine vinegar, not too hard and not too soft, and definitely not “yesterday rice”. Wide selection of sushi toppings, all tasty and fresh. Staff friendly and provide great service. Chef cooks up anything you want, even off menu items. Plates start at $3.80 so great value. Can’t believe all these negative reviews – so many uneducated haters out there leaving their “informed” opinions – perhaps they better stick to a KFC slop bucket, or a greasy maccas meal – more suited to hillbilly tastes – and leave the delicious sushi train for those of us who actually appreciate sushi."
