Nestled in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges of the Yarra Valley & Cardinia Shires, Fernglade Homestead has been providing guests with quality hosted accommodation for the past twenty years. With a consistent gold award-winning industry 4.5 Star rating and reviews in the 98% positive, Fernglade has established itself as a premier lodging destination.

Although Fernglade is now a private residence and no longer operates as an accommodation provider, we are proud to have continued the heritage of offering stays at the homestead. However, the time has come for us to remodel the homestead, grounds, and gardens to enhance the overall experience for our guests. This includes the restoration of the heritage Olive Tin House, an Astronomy Observatory, an optical collimation laboratory, a knot garden, and an expanded live steam railway. Due to these exciting renovations, we regretfully cannot offer accommodation during this period.

Set amidst three acres of landscaped and forest gardens, Fernglade provides a peaceful retreat for those seeking tranquility. The gardens are adorned with hidden treasures, including a live steam Ride on Railway, a private Astronomy Observatory, a secluded creek walk, and friendly sheep.

Each suite at Fernglade is equipped with everything needed for a short break. We offer Spa suites for a romantic couple escape, as well as Family suites for those looking to enjoy precious time together with their loved ones. Additionally, we provide a choice of a full cooked or continental-style breakfast served directly to your suite. We are more than happy to accommodate any special dietary or allergy considerations, so please inform us of your preferences.

At Fernglade, we strive to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. We offer complimentary amenities such as free WiFi, LCDHDTV, free parking, free sheep feeding, and day railway membership. Our picturesque garden spans three acres and invites guests to explore its beauty, which includes a 5-inch gauge ride on railway, a creek picnic walk, and an observatory.

If you require an early check-in or late check-out, please let us know at the time of booking. While we make every effort to accommodate these requests, it may not always be possible due to preceding or follow-on bookings.
