"Went here thinking it was the same as the other Sushirio on Sussex St, as that one has now shut down. A group of three people and we ate for around $30 each. The atmosphere was completely different and many parts of the shop seemed old and not very attractive. The seats seemed old. The service was pleasant, where they took the orders and passed them to the chefs in the middle very quickly. The chefs prepare the sushi that you order right in front of you. There were two when we went, the older one seemed mlre experienced and generally made better sushi than the younger chef. They also spell the name on their pamphlet wrong: "Suhsi Rio". The food was great though, you can never go wrong with the freshly grilled scallops. I do not have any photos of the food though but it was great. No complaints there. Had around 8 plates of grilled scallop. Will most likely come back givdn Sussex St has closed. The price is very good though, $3.80 per plate. $4.50 for side dishes, though we didnt try any."
"Best in its price! Sushi is freshly made. The ingredient is at a good level of its price. We went in Thursday night and some of the menu is out for that day but the staff are really nice. They explained to us that if the fish is not fresh, they'll not sell it at all. Will definitely go back again."
"Not as good as expected, but it is really tempting with most dishes just AUD$3.8 Could taste better for the tuna cheese roll and scallops roll, but fried food like fried chicken roll and soft shell crab roll are good."
"We ate in this restaurant yesterday evening . The food was ok but it is not as good as it used to be . We ordered quite a few dishes , but beef tataki was quite plain , it is not much cooked ( I do prefer it cook a bit more ) . The broth from Beef udon does not have much taste . The scallop was not very fresh . Lobster salad and remaining dish were ok . I understand $3.80 is cheaper compared to other sushi restaurants so customer has to set their expectation accordingly . We ordered via the app and waited for a while but did not get our order . We asked a staff and she advised the order should flow into kitchen automatically . But I later find out you need to talk to the chef yourself , the system is just for billing purpose ."
