"We had a delightful lunch at Steels Gates. It was busy in the restaurant and the wine tasting area seemed to have people trickling through quite often. So I would highly recommend booking in advance. I thought the experience was priced fairly as the food was exceptional. Each dish was a work of art in relation to presentation and the taste experience matched. We selected mixed entrees an I selected the Tasmanian Salmon and found it delightful. Mains were Duck, Lamb and Barramundi and all were enjoyed by our friends. I also had Creme Brulee for dessert, yum. Wines are fairly priced and we chose the 2019 Chardonnay (Melba Block) and the Shiraz. Both were very nice. Our host was Brad, was excellent as was the rest of the staff. Parking is plentiful. We will be back."

"Had our wedding here end November - and it’s perfect for a small intimate wedding with helpful service (shout out to brad) and great environment !! It’s a very pretty yet intimate spot (not like one of those large commercial places). We have since been back for Saturday dinner and it has a beautiful sunset in autumn. They have since changed chefs and we have tried both chefs food and we are more than satisfied with both. The new chefs food is a fine dining style- lovely presentation, great flavours and would highly recommend trying it. You won’t regret it! They have a very much personal spot and we are already looking forward to our next visit :)"

"Wine flight of 3 diff choices of wine together with meal is a superb offer. Taking time to taste them allows the changes of the aroma and flavors to really come out. The mains were also well presented, but I was too late to take a photo before the kids dug in :P"

"Great winery and restaurant. We spontaneously stopped on our way to Geelong and were hoping to get some wine and food. And food and wine we got. Amazing wines and cheese platter. The restaurant building is very modern and beautiful, showing great artwork and a nice view over the vineyard."
