"Made an appointment 3.5 weeks in advance, paid deposit. Three days prior to appointment I got an email from the booking site to say that they had added ‘iron straightening’ to my appointment which I didn’t want and couldn’t change. Then a day later another confirmation email they had changed my stylist to someone else AND changed my appointment time to an hour earlier than I booked WITHOUT asking me, no phone call no email at 4:07pm less than 48 hours before my appointment. The only reason I noticed was I looked at the confirmation email my appointment had been updated. I called the salon the following day and asked for the $50 ‘ironing straightening’ to be removed from the appointment and the $10 ‘dry off’ would be fine to which I was told they don’t do dry offs on Saturdays.. at the end of my appointment I was charged $20 extra for the colour and instead of a $50 iron straighten I was charged $60 for a blow wave/curl on LONG hair.. even tho my hair is shoulder length and my hair wasn’t curled nor wasn’t straight after being ‘dried off’"

"The staff are not friendly at all and don’t even smile! I’ve never been to any salon like it. They don’t take cancellations / re-schedules lightly so be aware of that when booking an appointment! Here was my experience after going there on only 2 occasions: 1. I was sworn at over the phone when I called to inform I was running 5 mins late for my appointment. 2. The apprentice was treated poorly and bullied by the owner (young girl) in front of everyone in the salon, on two separate occasions. 3. They asked me in store what days “I prefer to have my hair done” and then booked me in without asking me if I wanted to re-book. So I cancelled the appointment well in advance and then received a personal text message from the owner (Helai) demanding the reason why I cancelled. 4. I chose to have my hair done by a certain person when making my initial booking and then had the apprentice do my hair when I got there. (Not that there’s anything wrong with an apprentice but they weren’t who I made the booking with) For these reasons I won’t be back as it’s the worst salon I’ve been to in terms of professionalism."

"I’m not one to sit and chat for hours at a salon but I do want my stylist to listen to my needs and understand what I’m asking for. I got both of these things here. The stylist was friendly, listened to my ideas and I gave her free reign over my hair. While my stylist was friendly I’d say the salon in general didn’t feel very ‘friendly’ or ‘warm’ if that’s what you’re after. If you don’t really care about that sort of thing then you’re going to be fine here. It felt more like you’re in and out to fit as many clients in as possible which I can understand in this world of consumerism. Likes: Overall nice cut. The salon itself is cute, nice decor, they offer coffee, tea and the like. Dislikes: Felt rushed. Return: Probably not, I didn’t like the way I felt being there and after leaving. (Nothing against the ladies there, just the vibes)."
