"After spending all day driving around S/E Melbourne looking at pet shops and fish shops, we happened to stop by Best friends Pakenham. Immediately we experienced what has been the best customer service I have seen in a long time, not only were the staff helpful, They engaged with my 5yo son in feeding their baby lorikeet. Jesseca then helped us purchase the tank we were after and even had the team help us load our new fish tank into the car. Apart from the fact we finally bought the fish tank we had been looking for all day; both my Wife and I talked about the customer service - not the tank! Well done Best Friends Pakenham - Your customer service is not just a ticking of the box, it really does mean a lot to your customers."

"Very disappointed with my dog grooming, I paid $149 for a full service including nails cut, when I arrived my dogs fur on his tummy was not cut , I had to ask why they hadn’t done it, the girl took him back in and cut it which didn’t take anymore than 3 mins. I bought him home he has long fur patches around his neck ,ears and back, he is long hair dog , the only spot they did a good job was his tail and bottom , face."

"Whatever you do, do not take your dog here for a groom. We took our dog in, and asked for only a bit of his fur cut. Instead, they cut his hair so short, it’s like he is a completely different dog. His coat is actually unevenly cut as well. We even specified that it’s winter so there’s no need to take a lot off. Absolutely pathetic. You charge over $100 and don’t even listen to what the customer wants."

"Super disappointed. I dropped my dog off yesterday to be groomed since our regular groomer is away. I explained to the staff that we opt not to have our dog groomed with a schnauzer cut, because personally I feel like she looks cuter with a softer face, long fluffy ears, no harsh eyebrows and a fluffy beard, not the typical blunt, sharp schnauzer cut. I was advised this would cost a extra $30 and agreed as she needed to be groomed. When we arrived to pick up our dog, all I could do was laugh. She looks terrible! She looks like she's aged about 30 years and smokes a pack of ciggies a day. My soft, fluffy and gentle faced puppy has been groomed to look like a miniature pigmey hippopotamus with angry eyebrows and a sharp jawline. Thankfully the lady at the counter discounted the additional $30 fee for the tailored groom that very clearly didn't happen. The groomer mentioned that her beard was a little short to do as in the photo provided, so unadvised they went with the polar opposite version of request, leaving my dog with the worst haircut of her life and a complex. So, if you're happy to pay through the nose ($103 discounted) to have your miniature dog look like they're a recovering addict who has never been loved, take them to best friends Pakenham. Edited to add I have emailed the provided email address and received a reply telling me someone would be in contact. 2 weeks later, I've heard crickets. Such a poor experience. 10/10 don't recommend.."
