"We came here once around 3yrs ago and our experience was very average. Decided to try it again tonight since everywhere else was booked out. I was pleasantly surprised. The food came out quickly and it was hot/freshly cooked, the kids meal the cheeseburger was tasty (my son ate it all!) I had the steak sandwich which was super tasty and my partner had the scotch fillet which was cooked perfectly. The kids playground is surprisingly large and the kids had fun in there. The bistro is large and spacious with plenty of seating and the staff where very polite and courteous prempting my needs before I even asked (the kids dessert) So thankyou waltzing Matilda for the lovely night out."

"We only went for dinner so can't review anything else. Haven't been for a few years and was in the area so thought we'd give it a try. The gentleman that showed us to our table was very welcoming and polite. Explained thoroughly and was very accommodating. The lady at the bar was so delightful and such a good barmaid. The waitress was very lovely too. The chef was excellent we had the seafood platter, all elements were hot, crunchy and well cooked. Very fresh tasty prawns and mussels. Great flavour. Bf loved it. I had the nasi goreng and it was so filling and tasty. Plenty of chicken and plenty of prawns. We enjoyed our visit here with our son, the playroom is big and fun. Maybe another arcade game or two would fill the space up and a warm bucket of disinfectant to the upper areas of the play equipment but we had a great time. I really wish these young people all the best in their career choices whether they choose hospitality or not, the way they conducted themselves so professionally will carry on through their life. Now who is going to deep clean the playroom!"

"Went for my birthday dinner, very quiet, but we had a lovely dinner. Restaurant / bistro very well set out. Tables are a good distance from each other, making dining pleasurable. There is a big fireplace, but it wasn't working tonight. I would imagine a Friday,Saturday and Sunday would be more crowded. They have a great kids' play room. Seniors meals available. Our meals came out nice and hot. We couldn't complain about anything. Well worth the visit. Big carpark with quite a few disabled parks very close to the front door, also a drive-through covered area for dropping off elderly or just to save people getting wet."

"Stayed there last night. Just have to compliment Ivan on reception, what a superstar, fast efficient and went out of his way to ensure I got a nice quiet room. I wouldn't hesitate to offer him a job. Thanks again."

"Just wow.... and not in a good way. This place used to be a decent feed a few years ago but the quality is disappointing. Every dish that was ordered in our party of 11 was disappointing. Roast of the day was dry, the gravy was made with way to much powder and was thick with a grainy taste to it. The soup of the day, allegedly cream of corn with chicken was a watery bowl of yellow water. No sour cream for wedges. No bread rolls for the table. The burgers looked like they had been bought at a school canteen - i can go on but i think my point has been made. The bar staff - probably the only part that this place cares about because it makes money from the sports/ TAB section - were super nice. When we finished our meal, as one of about 4 tables with anyone on them - we did not have our plates cleared for the whole 45 mins we sat around chatting after our meal. Overall - avoid avoid avoid. Even if the meals are "cheap" by the post covid price standards, its definitely not worth it."
