PodBed Coogee Beachside

"It's a great place to stay and enjoy the beach. Close to the Coogee Beach, taking only a few mins to walk. Clean rooms, kitchen, and all the other places around like backyard and toilets. It's near Woolworths so convinient to get some grocery."

"We recently stayed in a private room at Podbed Coogee and generally our stay was positive. The hostel is in a great location and the staff we interacted with were lovely. Also good communication when we had not had check in details but we contacted the hostel and they sent across precise check in info. Nice garden and generally facilities were good though the kitchen was quite small and missing lots of cutlery so could be frustrating trying to eat meals and not having the things you need. The only other thing to note was the noise level. Most nights this was not an issue but the key codes to the bedrooms doors are quite loud opening and locking and you can hear others going in and out of their rooms (fine in itself but if you're a light sleeper not great). Also our last night there we had a very loud group in the lounge drinking and chatting for a long time around 1am. The hostel puts up many signs saying please be quiet after 10pm, but management did not appear to be around to reinforce this. We had to ask people to be quiet and could hear slamming doors constantly. Again not the hostels fault but I would hope someone is around to enforce house rules if they are in place. Also the beds could be a bit comfier but for the price the hostel was nice and a good base for a few days in Sydney."

"I have done several hostels in Australia, but this one is the best! people are very respectful in general, the atmosphere is calm, which is very pleasant, unlike some others who are very noisy. the team that manages the hostel is also very respectful and can always help you when you have a problem. The hostel is also ideally located, next to shops, and everything is available in the hostel, bathroom, kitchen, relaxation room. And don't hesitate to take the pods! this allows for additional privacy and calm. Go for PodBed Coogee, I really recommend."
