Reviews of The Rail Cafe
"Awesome atmosphere and great food. Nice place to stop for coffee and food with friends if you are in that side of the town."
"Ticked all the boxes. Perfect after parkrun @east richmond. Coffee was great. Service was exceptional. Between 4 of us we all had different meals and they were all really good. Would defiantly swing by again if we were in the area."
"The price to quality ratio here is probable the best in the area! The food tastes as good as the presentation. Plus they've got good coffee!"
"What an incredible place. You could see that the staff enjoyed being a part of the business just by their smiles. The food was 1st class and so was the service. Highly recommended and I feel lucky to find a little oasis in the middle of Richmond. Master Paul Mitchell Founder United Taekwondo"
"If you want to try something fancy or different from your average big brekky, this would be where you'd go. I got "the rail big breakfast" and although I'm not a fan of the balsamic glaze, each different thing I tried on the plate was a new flavour. The chorizo and potato croquette (fancy hashbrown) was lacking a little chorizo in my opinion but it was still delicious. I don't normally like the mushrooms that come with breakfasts, but these were flavoured with garlic and tasted quite nice. The baked egg in braised cannellini beans ( fancy baked beans) wasn't really my taste but it wasn't bad. My partner had the buttermilk pancakes and there were a variety of flavours along with beautiful fluffy pancakes, a variety of sweets and sweet/sour fruit sauce to the side And an iced chocolate with a cute quirky cup Overall a good experience and for some people would be great. For me I prefer the good ol big brekky but would go back if I was in the mood for it"
