"Ordered chilli garlic bread. Received chilli, don’t see the garlic bread. In all seriousness though, very disappointed with this. Might as well dip bread in a jar of chilli flakes."
"The renound Lebanese bakery. This prime location in kograh is the one of the best lebanese bakery's in sydney. The food quality is outstanding and has always been joyful and caring. He treats his customers with respect. Abudllah is one of the best people around. Commonly known as "Brother" he is a skilled baker and always fixes my needs when it comes to food. The zataar and cheese is one of my personal favorites (The cheese makes me feel something that no one else can (hooooorrrrrnnyyyy)). I cannot exagerate more how good and clean the food is. Best lebanese bakery in sydney. Love you Brother keep up the good work."
"Early mornings before catching a train at Kogarah needs a breakfast fix and what better than Lebanese baked goods? While the humble store is cramped inside with minimal outdoor seating, the family makes do with the small space to create tasty pastries that waft out onto the streets. The young man at the front is very welcoming and affable, giving recommendations and offering toppings such as chilli flakes that I have never been asked of before. The bread are distinctively baked in a wood-fired oven, producing a toasty char that expands the texture and flavour of the dough. This eccentricity is fully displayed in their pizzas, an airy dough augmented with a rustic crisp and a tinge of bitterness from natural leopard spots. Their zaatar topped with cheese pizza is exploding with fragrance from its generous slathering of zaatar kept in check underneath a mild mozzarella layer. In some parts where the cheese was absent, the zaatar blend became too overpowering and clouded the taste buds. I had high hopes for their meat pizza too but I was let down by their meat which tasted too much of tomato paste, similar to bolognese, rather than juicy meat with a nonpareil spice mix you can't put a finger on. If anything, try out their shanklish pie. Its flaky exterior leads into the nutritious crunch of tomatoes and onions that enlivens the mouth. My first taste of shanklish was a beautiful marriage of spicy and salty, even better when complemented with the clean-tasting vegetables. The pie is unexpectedly filling and an underrated breakfast/lunch option that could use the spotlight! Same can be said for their pies and pockets that flaunt a spectacular, golden brown crust and soft dough within. Treat yourself to the mixed cheese pocket with its delightfully creamy filling that is full of cheese pull potential. I'll certainly be eating more and I won't get enough of having front row seats to their wood-fired oven and prowess."
