"Because we were all seniors who arrived by train, the hotel's location is ideal. We appreciated very much that our table was set near the window. So, it was a bright, happy surrounding on this beautiful, sunny day. Most people liked the food, the servings are generous. The fact that things are expensive is something one has to accept these days. (Two glasses of wine $20.00, it's just the way it is!)"
"We had a wonderful event for over 50 people at the Henry to celebrate a milestone birthday. It was a great experience, plenty of food and the staff was super helpful and friendly. Also booked some rooms for guests, which was welcome for our out of town guests. Thanks again!"
"Excellent food, stopped of here for a lunch with my partner, range of food options is what you would expect for a pub, but the quality was higher than average. Even the side salad was delicious! Price reasonable.$$"
"My opinion of this establishment as a whole is good with disability parking, ramp access, and an inviting atmosphere with some wonderful photos of a bygone era on the walls. My wife and I are disappointed with our meals. We had the Roast Lamb (picture shown), it was more like a pulled lamb, it was dry with very little flavour and lacked seasoning. The portion size was definitely not worth $25. The frustrating factor for me was prior to our meals coming out; we ordered 20 minutes before people at our table, and our food arrived 20 minutes after they received theirs, one of which was Roast Lamb. When I questioned staff, no explanation was given, and there was no apology either. For a selection that is not cooked to order, waiting 48 minutes is unacceptable, and it will be very unlikely that we will return here."
"Location: (4/5) Close to the station, was going bushwalking and the convenient factor for us was really good. There is plenty of space outside around for parking for those that drive here. It’s your typical old bar, clean and tidy. A few tables and booths. Pros - I did love that there was phone chargers behind the booth (bring a cord) Service: (3/5) When we arrived before midday it was moderate but when it’s lunchtime this place gets packed very easily. I did have a little wait on my food which was reasonable, I did manage to get my food (a burger), however by the time I finished my burger and fries is when my partner received his food. No real interaction with the staff, no one came around and checked in on us or asked what’s the plans for the day. The Food: (4/5) I had the Chicken Schnitzel Burger, was was tasty and the chips were nicely salted. Very filling. I did get to taste my partners food, grilled Cumberland Sausage and that was also well cooked and tasted good. Would I Return?: I was happy with this pub and it’s food, I would return to eat at again. Overall - 4/5 Stars"
