Reviews
"Wonderful experience, lovely walks,great views"
"The main entrance to the Belleek Woods Trail is just past the soccer club in Ballina. That is the entrance that most people take. If you do use that entrance and keep walking for about 4km you will come to the end of the trail at this lesser known car park at the very north end of the trail. It is well worth trying this north end car park as an entrance from time to time in order to see parts of the trail, deep in, which many people using the main south entrance have never seen, as most people walk in for a km or two and then turn around and retrace their steps. Try this car park and attack the trail from the north - up at this end of the trail you will find the Famine Wall; the grave of Sir Knox Gore and an old boathouse, as well as the trail’s usual wonderful riverside flora and fauna. A magical experience."
