"First time visiting knock and was looking to have a few quite drinks , the locals were brilliant but the young gentleman serving was so rude and impolite, I had orderd and payed for drinks and he deliberately left me waiting and served his friends. When he done it once I didn’t think much about it , however he done it several times . This spoiled the great atmosphere of the place ."
"Very hard working staff over the weekend and friendly. Had a great night here with friends"
"The best thing about this pub is David. Hands down one of the most likeable barmen that I have ever met. He is friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, professional and everything you want from a barman and is eye candy for the ladies too. The pub is clean, the toilets are spotless and the guiness is up there with the best of them. They have a dukebox and a pool table which is a rarity for pubs these days. The locals are absolutely fantastic and very friendly to a stranger like me for a small knit community. The reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is for one simple reason only. The OWNER. I have worked and drank all over the world working in bars restaurants and hotels and I can say he is without doubt the worst barman that I have ever come across. He didn't even say a hello please or a thank you. A basic requirement when it comes to serving the public. A very surly individual who has no reason being behind a bar. The two times he served me he spilt my guiness and the second time he basically slammed it down on the counter and that was after he forgot my order and without apology. Never before in my 45 year drinking life have I ever thought about walking straight out of a pub and I have been in some dives in my time. As it is now the only pub left in the village maybe it has bred contempt for the ordinary drinker. That being said his son David far exceeds his father's blatent disgust for the general public. Would I recommend this pub? He'll ya!! But be warned to the dual polar opposite levels of service."
