"Lovely spot for a fresh outdoor walk, especially exciting for kids as the walkway which is broken in parts adds to the magical excitement of exploring the island. The island itself has lovely natural walkways for exploring and there’s plenty of places which would be beautiful spots for a picnic on a dry day. There’s plenty of place to pull up and park just off the main road but be sure to have some wellies or a change of shoes and socks on a wet day."

"On the road to Clifden, we have stumbled upon this beautiful little island and we had to stop to take photos. We had a sunny day and it will be an amazing memory! :)"

"A lovely spot to enjoy the view and to explore a small island. There was no one there when we arrived and we took our time to explore with our kids. Only when we got back, a group of people arrived by small tour bus. Hence this is a quiet area anyway, you can easily have the place to yourself if you're lucky. Wear good shoes if you want to walk towards the stone path."

"Best view in Connemara imo with very little effort, absolutely beautiful. Definitely worth crossing the stone walkway and walking across the island in good weather, just stay on the drier grass as the rest is boggy."
