Claypipe Visitor Centre
About the Business
Welcome to the Claypipe Visitor Centre, located on Main St in the charming village of Knockcroghery in Co. Roscommon, Ireland. Our centre is a unique attraction that showcases traditional Irish crafts and culture.
Our main focus is on the art of making clay pipes, which has been a part of Irish life for centuries. You'll get an opportunity to see how the pipes are molded, decorated and fired in our working workshop. Our expert craftsmen are happy to answer any questions you may have and give you tips on how to smoke a pipe like a pro!
In addition to the clay pipes, we also feature a range of other locally made crafts including pottery, knitwear, jewelry, and more. These items make perfect gifts or souvenirs, so make sure to drop by our gift shop before you leave.
As well as showcasing traditional crafts, the Claypipe Visitor Centre offers visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich history and culture of the region through our informative exhibits. We offer a fascinating insight into the social and economic history of the area, with artifacts and displays that bring the past to life.
Our friendly staff are on-hand to answer any questions you may have about the history of the village or the region, and we hope to make your visit as enjoyable and informative as possible. We also offer a range of events and activities throughout the year, from whiskey tastings to traditional music sessions, so check our website or social media pages for the latest updates.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Claypipe Visitor Centre and sharing our love of Irish crafts and culture with you.
