"Extremely strict, doors must be open at all times unless you're asleep even if you're getting changed (even though they said it was ok to close it then) the showers are disgusting with spiders, dead flies, hair and marks and there are little water activities. The activities staff are funny and nice but the others are strict, rude and disrespectful. The staff wake you up at around 8 or 7:45 by banging on your door, swinging it open and demand you come down for breakfast in your pyjamas with no time to get ready. You cannot wash your hands or do anything outside of lights out and there are alarms on the door. The alarms are loud and we couldn't sleep. You're not allowed in eachothers room even to get something you're friend is giving you. It's strict and controlling and most activities were boring. You get your phone for 20 minutes max and the other 10 is spent queuing to give it back. There are no clocks, only in the bialann."
"Excellent location with an excellent course in a safe environment. Very professional approach while delivering a love of the Irish language. Couldn't recommend it more highly"
"It's a lovely place with lovely views, children are welll fed there and enjoy it very much with many amazing views. But it is very strict and certain activities are very boring"
"My daughter went to the camp and thought it was fantastic. Everyone was making efforts to speak Irish and she had a great time on the water. The staff were really good to her as well and she is going again next year."
"This is a fantastic Irish activity centre. I went there with my school as part of a group of 49 students. The accommodations were perfectly adequate, consisting of a room with 2 bunk beds, a shower, hand basin and a toilet. We were given breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper each day. For the most part, the food was grand, with the exception of a pork chop on the first day that was so hard it was like a piece of wood. Most days, they let us have seconds too. The activities were enjoyable, although the sea was FREEZING at this time of year, and the staff were nice to interact with too. I’d definitely recommend this place. It’s much better than Carlingford Adventure Centre in every way, except for its location, as it is very remote."
