Reviews
"Sorry to say, this market has gone down hill since the Covid lockdowns. The anti-mask attitude, by the majority of the stall holders, really has damaged the numbers of people who attend the market. Many people have told me that they would never shop here again, as a direct result of witnessing the shocking lack of masks, social distancing, or hygiene, at the height of Covid. This used to be a good market, pre Covid. Such a pity this is no longer the case."
"Great wee market. Not a lot of stalls but what are there are high quality. Great home made cheese and lovely bread."
"Great place to get your fresh bread, veggies, James and lots more. Great place to shop."
"Nice selection of locally produced fair at reasonable prices, also good for tourists to have a look and visit King House at the same time."
"I would give this more stars if I could. As much as possible a Saturday morning is my routine. Most of the stallholders stock something I consume each week, vegetables, fruit, bread, honey, eggs, loose teas, fish, even chocolate. It is a pity that the stallholders struggle and that there are so few shoppers. Pricing here is ok, and quality of anything bought is superb. Add to that is the social time with friends here, who also shop here, and we meet up for a coffee and snack at the King House cafe."
